Flying J Travel Center Brings Up To 50 Local Jobs, Fresh Offerings, Merchandise to Tulare

Pilot Flying J announced today that it will open a Flying J Travel Center in Tulare, CA in June. The travel center features full amenities for area residents and the traveling public, while adding approximately 50 local jobs and other economic benefits to the community.

“We’re thrilled to serve the Tulare community and contribute to the local economy with our new Flying J travel center,” said Ken Parent, president of Pilot Flying J. “We’re committed to making a better day for our guests by bringing convenience, quality, great food and amenities to area residents and those traveling the roadways.”

This Flying J Travel Center offers many amenities, including:

  • 16 gasoline fueling positions, two RV lanes and nine diesel lanes with high-speed pumps for quicker refueling
  • PJ Fresh pizza and grab-and-go offerings prepared on site daily, including salads, sandwiches, burgers, fruit cups and an array of hot and cold snacks
  • Pilot’s Best Gourmet Coffees, including bean-to-cup selections and cold brew
  • Wendy’s
  • Cinnabon
  • 138 truck parking spaces
  • Western Union
  • CAT Scale
  • Everyday products for quick shopping needs

 

The new facility at 979 East Paige Avenue will be Pilot Flying J’s 24th location in California, including travel centers and dealers and it is expected to contribute $6.1 million annually in state and local tax revenues.

Guests can plan their stops and save money at Pilot and Flying J locations with the Pilot Flying J app, including a 3-cent gas or auto diesel discount and exclusive offers on food and beverages.

In honor of Pilot Flying J's history of giving back and commitment to fueling life’s journeys into the future, the company is donating $2,500 to benefit the summer meals program at FoodLink Tulare County.
