Whitney Haslam Johnson serves Pilot Company as chief experience officer.
Whitney is responsible for elevating the guest and team member experience by working with multiple departments across the company to ensure the enhancement of Pilot Company's brand image. From marketing and communications to modernizing facilities, her focus is to improve guest experiences, ensuring that loyalty and satisfaction are the focus of every Pilot Company interaction. She strives to make Pilot Company one of the most dynamic and recognizable brands across North America.
Whitney has served in a variety of roles at Pilot Company including accounting, fuel pricing, category management, creative services and merchandising. Whitney joined Pilot Company in 2005, and the board of directors in 2015.
Prior to joining Pilot Company, Whitney led the Southeast fundraising efforts for the 2004 Bush-Cheney reelection campaign and served as assistant controller at Marriott International Hotels.
She earned a bachelor's degree in finance from the University of Georgia in Athens, Georgia, in 2001.
Whitney shares ownership of the Cleveland Browns, a professional football team, with her husband J.W. Johnson, her father Jimmy Haslam, and her mother Dee Haslam. She is an investor in the Columbus Crew Soccer Club (SC), a major league soccer team based in Ohio. Whitney also serves as Chief Experience Officer for the Haslam Sports Group, an entity that operates the Cleveland Browns and Columbus Crew SC. Sports Business Journal named Whitney a “Game Changer” in 2018.
Whitney has served on the board of directors for the Knoxville Museum of Art and Second Harvest Food Bank of East Tennessee, as well as on committees for the United Way of Greater Knoxville.
Whitney resides in Cleveland, Ohio, with her husband J.W. and three boys.
