Dave Latimer serves Pilot Flying J as vice president of shops strategy and operations.
Dave joined the company in 2016 as a member of the senior leadership team. He is responsible for spearheading and overseeing Pilot Flying J’s shop operations, including laying out shops, site selection, openings and making sure the needs of the trucking customers are met.
From 2008 until 2016, Dave was a consultant for Love’s, putting them in in the shop business. In 1982, he developed the concept of fast lube service centers to be located at truck stops on interstate highways and approached El Paso, Texas-based fuel company, Petro. He opened the first Petro:Lube in 1983, and as an executive vice president of Petro, oversaw the expansion of Petro:Lube to 70 locations, which provided more than 300,000 oil changes per year.
Dave also was the founder and president of U.S. Lube, a line of fuel and oil additives sold to the heavy-duty truck industry and automotive aftermarkets.
He is a member of Candlelighters; Better Business Bureau (BBB); and the Technology & Maintenance Council of the American Trucking Associations.
