Pilot Flying J Opens 2 Newest Idleair Locations

Pilot Flying J and IdleAir have expanded their network partnership and are providing service to two more Pilot locations, one in Dalton, GA (I-75, Exit 326), and the other in White Pine, TN (I-81, Exit 4).

IdleAir is offering free limited service at both locations through Nov. 30, 2011, and then Grand Opening special pricing of only $1.25/hr through Dec. 31, 2011. IdleAir helps America’s professional drivers sleep better and save money without idling their trucks. IdleAir provides heating/cooling, electricity, satellite TV, and Internet services at less than half the cost of idling.

According to Mark Hazelwood, Executive Vice President at Pilot, “We are pleased to offer IdleAir services on an increasing number of our locations nationwide. IdleAir has streamlined their pricing and services while still maintaining helpful representatives at our travel centers. Pilot Flying J strives to provide exceptional service at all of our locations and the IdleAir staffs reinforce this goal through our growing partnership. We fully expect usage of the IdleAir system to increase which will result in cost savings and an improved quality of life for our customers.”

Hazelwood continues, “IdleAir is part of our effort to improve the health and well being of our customers with clean facilities, upgraded showers, and healthy food options. A restful sleep in a clean and safe environment contributes to these efforts. IdleAir’s service options provide an affordable idling alternative for our customers who do not choose to invest in APU's or who want electricity as an option to complement their existing on-board systems.”

Ethan Garber, CEO of IdleAir, said, “We’re pleased to announce that the IdleAir network now includes 11 Pilot Flying J locations with plans to expand across the country. Our new locations at Dalton and White Pine and our soon-to-open Carneys Point Flying J location feature redesigned layouts along the perimeter of the lots that maximize truck parking, while minimizing disruption to other drivers.

The White Pine location also features an integrated 20kw 100% American manufactured solar panel array, which generates 50% of that IdleAir location’s daytime electricity needs. Our coming Carneys Point site will feature a high speed charging station for electric vehicles”

With the addition of these 2 new locations, IdleAir now operates 23 locations in 9 states (AR, CA, GA, IL, MO, PA, TN, TX, UT). IdleAir will also open additional sites in Carneys Point, NJ (Flying J, I-295 Exit 2C), MN, TX, and AZ in the near future with considerably more sites to open in 2012.

IdleAir supports American energy independence by using homegrown electric power from domestic energy resources.
